Covid 19 Hako Machines Statement – January 2021 Update

With the PM’s announcement of the UK’s return to a lockdown from Wednesday 6th January, Hako Machines have reviewed our Covid secure workplace/employee welfare and business continuity and will continue with the following procedures:
• Regular communications to all Hako staff regarding the virus, what to look out for and general good hygiene practises have been issued and are regularly reviewed
• We have asked our team to notify HR if they plan any oversees travel in order that we monitor self isolation requirements
• Posters have been made available across our offices
• Our cleaning teams have increased frequency of cleaning including all door handles, hand rails, desks other hard surfaces
• Cleaning materials and wipes have been made available in all offices for telephones and keyboard self-cleaning – instructions have been to clean each day
• The Senior Management team and H & S Manager review the UK situation on a weekly basis reviewing advice from Gov.UK, NHS England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland and also the wider WHO advice portals
• Any non-business critical travel (UK/within the EU) is to be postponed, we are reviewing daily the risk attached to business meetings and demo’s, however wherever possible the message is that it is business as usual
• Exhibitions and other large public event attendance is reviewed and risk assessments made, where ever possible the advice is to postpone attendance
• Anyone with symptoms of the virus have been asked to self isolate, seek medical attention/advice and notify HR
• Our Disaster Recovery plan has been reviewed and steps taken to ensure mobilisation, if appropriate, is swiftly implemented
